HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyway, I’ve just finished reading all 14 volumes of Hanaukyo Maids… and I’m still kinda confused…

The story started out really light hearted: a boy (Taro) finds a mansion that his grandfather has left for him, with an ecosystem of maids. Nice harem. Most of the story follows Taro as he gets used to the life of a rich kid, and learning more about his maid-infested mansion. Sounds nice and light, right?

Then, the story starts to turn dark… Mariel, a maid that Taro likes, seems incapable of doing anything of her own will – she’s been programmed to do everything that Taro wants… When Taro coerce her to express her true feelings, she collapsed, gets taken away, and gets pickled in a jar. Then, the entire Taro + maid team sets off to safe her, have a fight with his grandpa’s own maids, and saves Mariel. Ok at this point… I can’t help but get confused: what happened to the loving grandpa? It appeared that he did that to get Taro and Mariel closer. Ok, fair enough. But it’s still kind of a weird thing for a loving grandpa to do to his own grandson, yeah?

Then, the story goes from dark to sinister… we now have a whole mansion buried underground. And in it, is a huge potrait of Mariel, sit-posing like an elegant woman, rather than the maid that she is. Lots of secrets and foreshadowing… some of the maids starts to feel left out… we get an attack from some guy who infiltrated the mansion and end up hurting some of the maids (NOOOOO)…

Then, the story goes from sinister to… WTF… we find out that Mariel was a Hanaukyo. Her mom was killed. The grandpa was involved. She becomes a desolute soul… until she meets a young man (who looks a LOT like Taro… only older) who ended up painting her potrait (that was in the mansion)… he got killed. Once again, I think the grandpa was involved. She gets killed (this time, I’m pretty sure the grandpa wasn’t involved). Grandpa ordered Cynthia (who, btw, is the cutest, split-personality girl I’ve ever seen) to clone Mariel. Somethings happen. The dead young man who painted Mariel was ALSO cloned. That’s Taro. The grandpa no longer ressembles a loving, perverted old man. Instead, he’s got wires for neck…. wires for limbs… wires for everything. I have a feeling he resents himself (because old Mariel resented him for killing her mom), so he created Taro in the other young man’s image to gain new Mariel’s love and affection, and now wants to transfer himself into Taro to enjoy Mariel’s affection (how the fuck does this even make sense?)…

Then we have the finale… the maid team comes. Mariel comes. They fight some more of the old man’s maids. Mariel confronts old man. Saves Taro. Tries to off herself, but gets saved by Taro before she does. Collapses. Taro carries her out to the waiting maids. They go home, old man gets killed by his own maid (whom was ordered by him to kill Mariel’s mom and old Taro). Think Taro leaves the mansion to do some soul searching, while the maids fix the house while waiting for him to return again (I think)….

WTF? I’m sorry if my description of the finale is kinda weird… that’s because I have fucking idea what I’ve just read… Was merely flipping through the pages while reading parts of the dialogues. The story has changed sooo much since the first volume, … heck, the story has changed sooooooo much since volume 12.5!

But in anycase, it was an enjoyable (though albeit weird) journey. I thought it kinda sucked that Taro left the mansion in the end. Would’ve loved it if he had continued staying with his harem. Not complaining… well,… maybe just a little.

After doing programming non-stop for the past 1.5 years, I’m not sure if I can formulate proper sentences anymore. So pardon me if this post re

Imagine the possibilities:

Killer biochemical substances added to each stage of their rockets, such that they pollute/contaminate wherever they land. As long as it’s not within their own region, who cares if it’s poison that’ll affect millions of marine life, and possibly those who consume em?

A real satellite. Well, we all love satellites, don’t we? I may be rambling here, but isn’t that what’s given us our cool, fun Google Earth? Isn’t it fun when you can look at wherever you want? And even zoom down to the smallest details (ok, fine, not the smallest, but still… pretty small)? Of course, the Earth works in such an amazing way that no images can be captured around important areas in the country… eg, military bases, etc.

Either way, imagine a super, duper powerful camera on a satellite orbiting earth. I mean, hey c’mon, I’m sure a country can shell out enough money to produce/buy the BEST camera in the world, right (note: camera, not cameraS. Singular)? So even with physics getting in the way, wouldn’t they (whoever has access to the satellite) be able to, at the very least guess where are the “hotspots” for different countries?

I remember reading one comment on some blog that I can’t get out of my head: “Why would North Korea need to launch a satellite anyway?” Foxtel? Don’t their citizens live in small houses (gift from the government), sleep on the floor, and have the world’s most compact, most portable entertainment device: A framed picture of a dude? Hmm… maybe that’s the reason. Perhaps their one entertainment device is finally starting to bore them, so they need a satellite out there so they can all watch Animax.

Sorry… what were we talking about again?

Anyway, Valentine’s day aside, I’m here to post more joyful news!!! Ok, maybe not as joyful to those who hates me, but still, it’s joyful!! Ok, fine, it’s not NEWZ,… more like “Olds”, but who cares?? First up, I got a letter from my Uni’s Computing department, and it reads:

Woohoo!!! An award! Haven’t won one in a loooong time!! Yea baby! uh huh! uh huh!!~~ Though personally, I want to get into the VC list more… you know, the Vice Chancellor’s list? Where it’s only for the top 1% students? WHAT?! You don’t know what I’m talking about? Go read my older post, you frog!!

Know what that is? It’s a brochure (I think that’s what people call it)!!! Why such a brochure? Because of this:

Yeah, I submitted my honours project to the WAITTA competition, and for some reason, it got to the finals! Had to prepare a 30 minutes presentation, followed by 10 minutes question time. Well, the presentation wasn’t as good as I had hoped for (aka… prolly pretty bad). At least only half of the 8 judges were yawning, and at least 1 of them did not wore a puzzled look on his face. But anyway, it’s great to be a finalist where I have something DECENT to show… unlike that stupid APICTA (Asian Pacific ICT Awards) back in KL, where everyone wore tux’es, had glossy, printed posters and sleek laptops, while I wore a tshirt, shorts, and had a poster made from a cardboard paper and drawn with crayons… Oh well, even though the pres was bad..umm, I mean so-so, I’m still glad that my product was PRETTY DARN good. Seriously, screw surveillance projects, or data processing projects, or any of those things. Why? Cuz my project is ~FUN~… Why did I chose my project? Cuz it was ~FUN~… and for me, that’s more than enough a reason to do something.

Oh well, that’s me brag for now. Tomorrow, it’s gonna be another hard day at work. Anywayz, it’s 7.54pm, and it’s time for bed soon… so see yaz, peeps!!

I’ve been playing School Day’s game! WOOHOO!!!!! That’s right, the same School Days that was animated into an anime… NICE BOAT people!!! Did ya get it? No? Suckers…

Anyway, School Days is great. It’s like watching an anime… and being able to make choices that will lead to different endings. Now how cool is that? Seriously, go out there, buy the game, and enjoy!!!

And to quote the website:

“Recipients of the VC’s List Award are notified in writing shortly after the end of semester and are invited to a Ceremony where they are presented with a certificate and a lapel badge for those included on the VC’s List for the first time. ”

Well, guess what? It’s already no longer “shortly after the end of semester”. In fact, it’s looong-looooooong-time after the end of semester, and no news yet. So I guess that’s it, huh? No VC list for me… sigh sigh sigh. And there I was, thinking that I actually had a chance to get it… wonder if it’s my ignorance or arrogance? Or was it simply my wishful thinking? But oh well, a man can dream, and dream I did.

Hmm… anything else that I would like to put here? Ooh! Tutoring the CC252 unit was quite an experience. Met some really smart kids, as well as some really fun ones too. More importantly, it gave me a little more courage to stand in front of many people and speak. Honestly, I was much more interested in tutoring units such as IPE (Introduction to programming environments) as well CG (Computer Graphics). But unfortunately, they were taken.

Let’s see… what else… oh yeah! Another nice thing about 2007… I got a new computer and a job. Yep, a brand new computer! Antec Sonata III case + Intel Core Duo E6550 + 4GB Kingston RAM + Asus 320MB Geforce 8800 GTS + 2 Western Digital 500GB HD + Asus VW192T (19″ Widescreen) 5ms LCD monitor. Not too shabby eh? :D :D

What else… hmm.. well, I suppose nothing much. Honestly, I DO regret not getting in the VCList. Why? Because I believe I did my very best, the best that I could with my units and my honours project. But oh well… Ooh, another regret is not getting the tutoring job for IPE. Sigh, I was actually offered the position, but due to my late reply, it was taken away from me… And one final regret, one that (if you know me) seems like I’m acting out-of-character is, that I did not get a girlfriend. Sucks, doesn’t it? From now on, I’ll be working for 35-40 hours a week. Doesn’t seem like I’ll have any time to find one. Oh well, I’ll leave it to fate then. Sad, isn’t it?

Oh well, that’s all I have to rant about this time. In fact, this’ll very well be my final post for this year.

First things first, my old computer died. That’s right, the one that I’ve been using since college (when was it again… 2003?) died. Apparently, 5 transistors on the mainboard blew at the same time, and now it wouldn’t start up at all..

Next… I got myself a NEW computer. Sonata III case with 500W PSU, 2X dvd writer, Asus 19″ widescreen monitor (5ms + 800:1… whatever that means) , 4X Kingston 1GB RAM, 2X 500GB WD hard disks, and a Asus 320MB 8800GTS. Ooh, and it comes with an OEM vista premium too. Sigh… it did cost me a fortune though…AUD$ 1441 for the system + AUD$ 397 for the graphics card. But at least playing games on the system is a real delight. So far, I’ve tried Unreal Tournament 3, BioShock, Crysis, Gothic III, TimeShift and Gears of War. Of course, these are only demos that I got from my PC Powerplay magazines. But still, AMAZING! SUGOI!!! Checkout the screenie of Gears of War! I never knew games could look SO amazing.

I’m amazed, I’m in awe, I’m flabbergasted, I’m speechless… and finally… I’m feeling like throwing up. Have played the game the for like… a few hours, and I’m feeling as giddy as I was when I played Wolfenstein 3D a looong time ago.

Anyway, computer aside… let’s see… other news… Ooh, I got a job offer! …. hmm… let’s see… other news… oh yeah, I’ve completed my honours degree. The results were released on the 11th at ~10.45pm, although it wasn’t until 11.40 when I found out. In any case, everything when well, and I’m glad I did well besides just passing the course. Now where’s Google and Microsoft when you want em?

Who’s Haruhi? Well, you should know! I’m talking about Haruhi from the Ouran High School Host Club manga. Probably one of the coolest female protoganist in any manga I’ve ever seen… Man, you just HAVE to love her… Always so thick and ignorant about her surroundings (people, relationships, etc…).

Anyway, it had seemed like Haruhi’s NEVER ever gonna fall for any guy. But hey, Volume 12 chapter 55 and 56 brings us something NEW!!! Haruhi gets a thank you kiss from Suou Tamaki (In case you’re wondering, he’s the like… the lead male protoganist… or something like that)… and she BLUSHES!!!! YES!!!! Read it and weep, Fujioka Haruhi BLUSHED when she got an unexpected kiss from Suou Tamaki!! Check out the pic! She’s sooo cute!!!!! KYAAA!!!!

Oh well, that’s it from me for now. I just got over-excited when I read the chapter… because SERIOUSLY, Haruhi is SOOOO KAWAIII!!! … Crap, I think I need an extra shot of testosterone… and beer… and porn… yeah, that’s what I need…Laterz peeps!
